Our quinta is in the middle of nature with pure air, rivers with clear water and water mines and springs with drinkable water. On your hiking tours you may see a shepherd with the sheep and goats passing by. Full Description:

On our quinta there are two recently renovated holiday homes for rent. Casa do Caseiro is suitable for 2 - 3 persons, Casa do Forno for max. 4 persons.

Casa do Caseiro:
Living room with wood burner and kitchen with fridge and cooker with stove. Stairs down to the bedroom, toilet and shower. In the bedroom are two single beds and a sink which we made of the old granite horse water trough. An extra bed is available for an additional person.

Casa do Forno:
Living room with bunk-bed (double bed), open fireplace and kitchen with fridge and cooker with stove. Bedroom with two single beds. Bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. Everything on ground level.

It's not allowed to smoke in the holiday homes.
Pets are welcome on agreement.
It is possible to place a small tent near the holiday homes.

The holiday homes are made in what once used to be the house of the housekeeper of the quinta (Casa do Caseiro). For a long-time it has been used as a storeroom for the harvest. In the part of the building where we made Casa do Forno was once the traditional bread oven. Now we made there an open fireplace.
With the renovation of the building we kept as much as possible the traditional style. For example the thick granite walls which keep the holiday homes relatively cool in summertime. In wintertime the wood burner or open fireplace can be used.

Quinta do Pinheiro Manso is an 5,5 ha big area with various vegetation. Surrounded by forest with the for this region typical big granite stones, you'll see lightly sloping fields . There are lots of olive trees, fruit trees, grapes and of course the parasol pine tree where the quinta is named after. There are also two houses within a distance of approximately 40 m. In one we live ourselves in the other one we made the holiday homes.

Central in the district Beira Alta, just out of the little village São Geraldo, nearby Midões, is our quinta a great start for hiking tours and day trips to get to know the rest of the area.

Quinta do Pinheiro Manso has lots of different fruit trees and we have a big vegetable garden. For a small amount you can pick your own fruit and vegetables (unsprayed). You can't get it fresher!
Twice a week you can have diner or lunch with us; a good moment for exchanging information and a taste of the products of our land.
