Introduction: Our beautiful retreat nestles in the mountains of Andalucia and is surrounded by seven acres of olive orchards and almond groves, giving a secluded and serene atmosphere to anyone wanting a unique, friendly and creative holiday experience. It is the perfect venue for residential holidays, retreats and “get away from it all” holidays. We welcome individuals wanting to experience a truly peaceful environment whether on an accommodation-only basis, or by joining one of our structured packages. Teachers and group leaders are also welcome to bring groups and use our facilities (see here for details). We also provide workshops, studio space and materials for painters, writers, potters, wood-workers and songwriters. Amateur enthusiasts or professionals alike can enhance their work or learn new techniques. Originally a working farmhouse, the style is what the Spanish call “rustico” , a rural stone built building generating its own power, and tapping into the local mountain water supply. A hundred - even fifty - years ago, the family would have been entirely self-sufficient, only rarely venturing the ten mile distance into Oria for market days and religious festivals.
