The area is great for walking with breathtaking scenery and we also offer the chance to view the area on foot with our accompanied or self led walks. Casarabonela is a small yet lively village, 495m above sea level, 45km from Malaga. Its old quarter is of Moorish origin, with narrow streets, hidden squares, colourful flower displays and water fountains throughout. Casa Aguila is situated within these white-washed houses. Casarabonela also has its modern touches with its open air swimming pool ( open July-September ) with panoramic views and adjoining restaurant ( open all year ). There are other family run restaurants and shops within the village where you are able to try the local cuisine and buy local products. Some bars serve tapas all day and into the early hours. All are within walking distance of the apartment so there is no need to drive. Casa Aguila has an outside courtyard with integral table and chairs where you can dine al-fresco and enjoy the view of the sun rise over Guadalhorce valley and the Mediterranean sea. Inside, the apartment has 2 bedrooms ; each with 2 single beds ; a living room with folding dining table and chairs. TV, DVD and radio/cd player, plus a selection of reading material. It has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, cooker and a full selection of cooking utensils plus kettle, with complimentary tea & coffee. The apartment has a shower, sink and w.c. All linen and towels are provided (except beach towels). Guests who decide to stay a week or more receive a welcome pack of bread, milk, cheese and wine. The area around Casarabonela is great for birdwatching. Over 50 + species can easily be seen due to the variety of flora. The village sits near the natural park of Sierra de las Nieves and has the peak of Sierra Prieta at 1521m directly behind it.
