The Sierra Nevada boasts Spain's highest mountains, stunning scenery and hot sunny weather. During the spring and autumn months, the surroundings are particularly beautiful; in Spring the land is carpeted with a vast array of wild flowers and blossom adorns the fruit trees which are dotted around the lower mountain slopes. In autumn the leaves turn golden brown, the fruit ripens and trees are laden with the years harvest.  We have a house on the southern slopes of the mountains, with stunning views, which we invite guests to visit during their trip. Our Sierra Nevada holidays are based in Lanjarón, which offers a range of accommodation and great access to a range of venues in both summer and winter.

During 2010 we began research for a new venue in the Catalan Pyrenees.  The mountain resort of Vall de Núria is located in the Eastern Pyrenees, above the village of Queralbs at the head of the Ribes Valley, and is surrounded by peaks of almost 3,000 metres, from which flow a number of streams, making the area very verdant. Access to this spectacular mountain landscape is gained either by walking, or more commonly using a the rack railway, from Queralbs, which we chose as our base.  This small picturesque mountain village has a small shop, a selection of bars and visitor accommodation.

High Mountain Walking...A programme of high mountain walking amongst the 3000m peaks of The Sierra Nevada Mountains and an ascent of Mulhacen at 3400m mainland, Spains highest peak. This is a brilliant week for reasonably fit hill walkers who want to venture into the higher mountains. It includes an optional visit to the Alhambra in Granada.

Stunning Mountain Walking in the Catalan Pyrenees - a 7 day full board guided walking holiday based in Queralbs, with daily walking in the Mountains above in the Nuria Sanctuary. A range of accommodation options; amazing wildlife and flowers. This holiday is available in June and September.
